So, what's the wackiest thing you've done while trying to make a baby? Held your legs up for 30 minutes post-sex? (Us too.) Squeezed in a quickie while your other kids watched Wonder Pets? (Guilty.) Run home between work meetings for a little afternoon delight? (Sames.) Gone for it in your childhood bedroom because you were ovulating while staying at your parents' house? (We're not judging.) Who knew creating human life could be so weird and wonderful? XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Make sure you're using sperm-friendly lube when you're getting down to baby town. We've successfully conceived using Pre-Seed—now with antioxidant support to keep those sperm nourished for their big journey.

You've got this. It's so tempting to play the comparison game when TTC: She got pregnant right away, she needed to see a fertility specialist and can you believe that SHE'S having a kid? Pro tip from the team at Motherly: Every woman is different, so don't waste time comparing your experience to someone else's. Some women have awful morning sickness, while others barely notice they're pregnant the whole first trimester. Some rock maternity jeggings like pregnant glamazons, and some off us swear off pants until our kids are in kindergarten (long live maxi skirts ♀️). You do you, mama. XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Motherly is a judgment-free zone. We think you're amazing just the way you are.

Don't tell people your dreams—show them. There's a whole lot you can do to feel more in control of the sometimes-mysterious act of making a baby. Get your budget in place. Practice random acts of kindness in your marriage. Learn fertility secrets from other cultures. It all adds up—to a more confident mama-to-be. XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Have you added these fertility superfoods to your grocery list yet? Eat up, little lady!

Strive for progress, not perfection. Manage those #moneygoals. (Damn you, student loans.) Reconnect with your partner. And make way for baby—you only need a tiny space, promise! The good news about becoming a mom is you can take it one adorable, tiny step at a time. XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Did you have a pre-conception checkup yet? We've got the 10 questions to ask your OB-GYN or midwife before you conceive. Print our list, ask away and then get busy.

Work hard and be kind—to yourself. People to be kind to: yourself, your partner, your future baby, your fellow working mamas. Did we mention yourself? Trying to conceive can be stressful and full of anxiety. (Also exciting!) It's essential that you start loving yourself for the journey. Work hard and be kind—to yourself. XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Print our our TTC self-love mantras to nurture yourself when trying to make a baby. Stick one on your mirror, your fridge, your coffee pot ☕️ (your true source of happiness). And remember: You deserve all the joy in the world.

It's a good day to have a good day. Starting a family can break your heart. It can give you the tingles (or a full-blown orgasm—your choice). It can focus your mind at work. It can give you strength you didn't even know you had. This is just the very beginning of parenthood's many transformations. Motherhood is going to look amazing on you. XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Speaking of looking amazing, check out the lingerie we love for hot baby-making sex. You wild thang.

I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it. Things that make us happy: Netflix marathons, Nutella, our best friends' baby pics and dreaming about creating a family. Things that keep us healthy: staying mentally positive, exercise-induced endorphins, baby-making "practice" (it boosts your immune system!) and avoiding toxins while TTC. Your body is a wonderland—and soon it will be a baby's home! XO, TeamMotherly P.S. Have you listened to our Spotify baby-making playlist yet? It. Is. FIRE. Dim the lights, turn on the tunes and make a baby.
