By Cassandra Stone November 23, 2021 Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Rectangle It’s one thing to share updates and photos about your children with your friends and family—it’s quite another to do it with the entire world. While some celebrities happily share family Instagram photos and videos and sometimes make fans feel part of it all, other celebrities prefer to keep their private lives private. Though she hasn’t given birth yet, Jennifer Lawrence is one of the latter types of celebrity parents. She doesn’t have a public Instagram account, and in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she talked about how her mama bear instincts are already strong. Get away from me, you psycho!” she explains. “But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can.” Frankly, I couldn’t imagine sharing my baby with the world. Sure, you’d be flooded with compliments and good wishes from fans who genuinely care and want the best for you and your family. On the other hand, you’d be making yourself and your child vulnerable to comments from thousands and thousands of strangers by simply sharing banal moments from your day. Lawrence says the urge to protect her unborn baby is primal, something all mamas know all too well. Just because mama is famous and chose this life and this kind of career doesn’t mean her kiddo chooses it. Giving your child agency and respecting their privacy is always important, of course. For famous moms and dads, it’s important times a million. Kudos to JLaw for being totally unapologetic about her mama bear instincts!
