Teacher shares sweetest video of students singing along to Taylor Swift while working

When it comes to teacher hacks, the options are endless. But this one in particular might just be the sweetest thing you see today—one elementary teacher is sharing how Taylor Swift songs have majorly impacted the dynamic of her classroom. And it’s as simple as it is heartwarming.

“Every day at school when my first graders are working quietly, I play Taylor Swift instrumental music,” teacher Kat C. shares about her now-viral TikTok video. “I’ve done this for years and none of my students have ever noticed. Until Friday.”

Instrumental music can really be incredibly calming when you’re trying to focus on work, and seeing how it helps little ones in school is a delight. Kat says the day she began recording the video, she heard one “tiny voice” across the room begin singing the words to the instrumental version of “Anti-Hero.”

“I smiled at her and said, ‘You figured out this is Taylor Swift!’ And she said, Yes! I love Taylor Swift!'” Kat explains. “Then all of my little firstie girls started chiming in about how they also love Taylor Swift.”

Watching this back, it’s so obvious how genuine the smile on my face is. This whole encounter brought happy tears to my eyes. Taylor Swift has brought such a positive impact to our world and I feel so blessed to live in a world where one artist’s music can bring together different people, of all ages, and all walks of life. So when the chorus of “Anti-Hero” replayed, she knew she had to capture “all of their tiny voices” singing the song.

“I knew the world needed to hear how sweet this is,” she shares. “Watching this back, it’s so obvious how genuine the smile on my face is. This whole encounter brought happy tears to my eyes.”
