Khloe Kardashian names her baby daughter something completely unexpected

Khloé Kardashian’s baby girl isn’t a KK, but a double T.

True Thompson to be exact. The new mama announced the name Monday, shortly after the baby was born in Cleveland on April 12.

Despite plenty of media coverage about the state of her relationship with True’s father, NBA player Tristan Thompson was reportedly present for the birth and was definitely part of his daughter’s social media birth announcement.

“Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE,” Kardashian wrote in the caption of a photo of dozens of pink balloons. “Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!”

True’s name is apparently a family name, according to grandma Kris Jenner.

“My Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!” Jenner told fans on Instagram.

Jenner isn’t the only family member on the ‘gram. An account that shares True’s name amassed more than 50,000 followers in the span of an afternoon.

The account is yet unverified, as is the status of True’s parents’ relationship. But no matter what is going on between Kardashian and Thompson, it’s clear this new mama was thrilled to welcome her baby daughter into the world.

Ever since announcing her pregnancy in December, Kardashian has been vocal about how much she was looking forward to motherhood—calling it her “greatest dream realized.”

Unlike her little sister Kylie Jenner, who spent her pregnancy away from social media and the spotlight, Kardashian has been sharing her excitement with fans for the last three months, frequently posting updates on social media and even talking about her birth plan on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“We’re having the baby in Cleveland,” Kardashian told her sister Kim in an episode that aired back in February. “My doctor, she’s flying to Cleveland to deliver the baby.”

In another episode, Kardashian revealed that she was surprised to learn she was having a girl, as she’d been expecting a boy. “I don’t feel like I’m having a girl,” she said after hearing the news. “I’m in a state of shock.”

When the shock wore off, Kardashian was more than excited about becoming a #girlmom (as evidenced by insanely pink baby shower was any indication).

Kardashian’s momager, Kris Jenner was reportedly later seen buying pink baby furniture, but we don’t know if that was for the Cleveland nursery or the Calabasas pad, as Kardashian did not post pics of the Cleveland nursery while it was a work in progress. Whatever happens between True’s parents, she will likely be making a lot of trips between the two locations.

With the birth of little True the Kardashian baby boom of 2018 has officially come to an end. Kim welcomed baby Chicago in January, Kylie had Stormi in February, and now Khloe’s become a mom in April. These are three cousins who are destined to be BFFs.
