In a video that is going viral on TikTok, two news anchor parents created a video “reporting” on their baby’s behavior throughout the day in a spoof “news segment.”

Jeannette Reyes, a morning anchor at WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., begins the “segment”—complete with news anchor voice—to begin a segment dedicated to her newborn daughter, Bella, as she begins her day in her crib.

“Good morning, Bella. It is 9:52,” Reyes says, in a perfect news anchor cadence and dressed to the nines like she is every day on-air. Hopefully you slept well; certainly no one else did, but we’re not going to point any fingers.”

The camera then cut to Reyes’ husband, Robert Burton, who is—you guessed it—also a news anchor with ABC 7News in Washington, D.C.

He gives the camera a quick weather report about the “beautiful day outside” with “temps in the mid-80s.”

“Will we get to enjoy it?” he asks. “Well, if spit ups, feedings and diaper changes don’t get in the way, we just might be able to make it out of here before midnight.”

Cut to Reyes, who chimes in with breaking news: An explosion at the “diaper station.”

“Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and authorities tell us they do have a suspect in custody,” Reyes says, as the camera pans over to little Bella in her crib. “Unfortunately, that suspect is not speaking at the moment, but they have linked her to hundreds of other explosions.”

At the end of the video, Reyes lovingly cradles Bella as she sings “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” to the baby in her very serious, very clipped newscaster voice.

“Well, that’s all the time we have, folks,” Burton from their “newsroom” home. “Thanks for watching the Baby News Network. This is BNN.”

The video is also blowing up on Twitter, where people are sharing how much they love every minute of this news segment.

We’ll keep you posted if the Reyes-Burtons decide to turn this viral TikTok into a series. More at five.
