
It’s a tricky feeling to know that our lives as mothers, and all that comes with it, has left us feeling burnt out. Because what are we going to do? We still need to go on, and get everything done.

Emphasis on the word “living”—because how “slow” can the life of a mother really be?

By growing our family away from extended family (and their help), we’ve learned that there is nothing more valuable than creating a strong network of friends who are like family.

Families are made because of love—not just DNA. ?

And because it’s teaching him self-sufficiency and responsibility. (Plus, it’s helpful to mama!)

You don’t have to be pregnant to be an expectant mother—or else we’d never use the term “expectant father,” right?

Thank God I stole these from my husband because really—what would my life be without them?

Sometimes finding peace with parenting is as simple as cutting yourself a break.

To the friends, family, medical professionals, treasured neighbors and kind strangers: THANK YOU. ?

When we say no to help from our friends, we are robbing them of their happiness. And let’s be honest, we are robbing ourselves of some much-needed help.

Witnessing your children become independent people is exciting, terrifying and sad all at the same time.

And we shouldn’t have to feel guilty for wanting this precious time with our baby. Or selfish for wanting to still get paid during this time.

Instead all of that—I have these three little gifts that I wouldn’t trade for all the money, flat stomachs and lazy weekends in the world.

Visitors—I need you to bring me coffee and let me shower. ☕?

Moms watching shows while doing all the other stuff moms have to do makes perfect sense. #multitasking

Don’t stop documenting just because you’ve run out of pages in the baby book. ?
