By Cassandra Stone October 20, 2023 The Kelly Clarkson Show/TikTok Rectangle When this video popped up amid my Instagram algorithm, I of course stopped everything I was doing to watch two of the most talented women from my formative years sing a breathtaking duet. And you will, too. Morissette made a special appearance and surprised the audience with a performance of her hit song “You Oughta Know,” and Clarkson joined in for one of her show’s new segments called “Songs & Stories.” “The duet we’ve always dreamed of,” the caption reads. They mean something and I just need to look them up!’” Related: Kelly Clarkson says her kids wish ‘mommy and daddy were in the same house’ One of my core memories is of my best friend’s older sister playing her “Jagged Little Pill” CD in their basement while we all just sat and listened to it. When the more colorful language exploded through the speakers, I will never forget my bff’s mom shutting it DOWN right then and there (we were only 10). Ha, good times. And then after ‘You Oughta Know’ was released … she ran into me and she was like, ‘I just have to tell you that I didn’t like your music when it first came out, and then I got divorced, and now I love you.’” The latest News What parents need to know about the ‘glass child’ effect—and how to address it News New study shows Black women are 25% more likely to have C-sections, but why?
