Carrie Underwood’s son is here and has a very popular name

We’re so happy for Carrie Underwood! After struggling with multiple miscarriages in recent years, Underwood just welcomed her second child with husband Mike Fisher.

The couple made the big announcement Wednesday after spending a couple days laying low with their new little one.

“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday,” Underwood captioned an Instagram slideshow featuring adorable newborn photos.

“[H]is mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…” she wrote.

Jacob joins big brother Isaiah, and his name perfectly compliments his older sibling’s as they’re both classics. The name Jacob was the top boys’ name in America from 2000 to 2012, but fell all the way to no. 10 last year.

Maybe Carrie’s choice will see Jacob climb the charts again in 2019.
