By Heather Marcoux July 6, 2019 Rectangle There has been a lot of controversy over the private christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby boy, little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, but some photos of the event were just released and we are glad to see the family looks so happy. “This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby,” the royal couple announced via their Instagram account.  They posted two photos snapped by their photographer Chris Allerton. In the one color photo, Archie’s hair does seem to have a little bit of a ginger tint (or that could be the light). ?   Instagram  The photos are beautiful and it is lovely that the family got to have this day and share it in a way that makes sense for them. While critics were upset about the private nature of Archie’s christening, royal christenings are pretty much always private affairs. This didn’t really stray from royal tradition. And as beautiful as baby Archie is, his parents do get to decide how and when to post about him on social media. When Kylie Jenner briefly decided that she wasn’t going to show Stormi on Instagram (she did change her mind) fans were upset about that, too, But no parent owes anyone baby photos of access to their baby.  The first photos of Archie’s full face The new pics from today are the first to show baby Archie’s face since he was born. When Meghan and Harry released a photo of Archie on Father’s Day some fans were disappointed because his whole face could not be seen.  Proud parents sharing select private moments     Since people around the world are clamoring for more photos of baby Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are proud parents showing off the baby pictures they have selected today. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment,” reads the statement posted on Instagram. It continues: “Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.” The godparents are remaining private because some parts of Archie’s life will not be public.      Related Stories Baby Names ‘L is for Lilibet’ & other cute nicknames for your little one đ Celebrity News Baby Archie just made his first public appearance and the photos are so cute đ Life Meghan Markle advocates for paid family leave in open letter to Congress The latest Viral & Trending Why Volvoâs new ad is the emotional reset every parent needs right now News What parents need to know about the âglass childâ effectâand how to address it News New study shows Black women are 25% more likely to have C-sections, but why?
