Home / News / Viral & Trending ‘The Little Mermaid’ trailer is finally here, and all we have to say is WOW Disney The trailer debuted at the Oscars. By Cassandra Stone March 13, 2023 Disney Rectangle If you’ve been waiting patiently to see more than just a glimpse of the live-action remake of this classic Disney film, your wait is over. Because The Little Mermaid trailer is finally here, and it’s just absolutely magical. During the Oscars on Sunday night, the trailer premiered in full and viewers were able to see the stellar cast in all their under-the-sea glory for the first time. And let’s just say, Halle Bailey is EVERYTHING, Melissa McCarthy perfectly embodies Ursula in every possible way, and Javier Bardem’s King Triton is, uh, well, not too shabby to look at. We’ll just put it that way. The trailer shows us the underwater world as well as the “above world” and honestly, both look pretty amazing. The music, which we all know and love, is perfectly synced to key moments in the story, including the part where Ariel saves Prince Eric (played by Jonah Hauer-King). McCarthy’s few lines delivered as Ursula will give you goosebumps, and we even get to see Sebastian (Daveed Diggs) and Scuttle (Awkwafina) discussing Ariel’s human legs.
