Kristen Bell says her daughters finally sleep in their own beds—and we are cheering for her 👏

Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard’s fam has hit a major milestone.

In a new interview, honest mama and mega celeb-entrepreneur Kristen Bell shared a big win this week: Their two daughters are finally out of her bedroom and sleeping in their own beds! 

Bell shared that Daughters Lincoln (9) and Delta (7) “just graduated from sleeping on the floor on this trifold mattress. You can congratulate me—we did it, they now sleep in their room on beds right next to each other and they cuddle with each other instead of us.”

As a busy mom who LAST NIGHT shared a bed with a kicking-coughing-Pull Up-wearing small child, I admire Bell for being honest about her family’s sleep journey. Before kids, I had tons of opinions about what kind of sleeping situations I would and wouldn’t accept for my children. After my four very different children were born, I have a whole lot fewer opinions, and a lot more empathy for any parent trying to get rest after a busy day.

Bell also shared that as a family with significant privilege, she and her husband have decided to have their daughters share a room to practice the skills of compromise and sharing.

Bell shared with SELF magazine in March 2020: “I think their lives will be easier than most other people’s on the planet, and to develop a good character, it’s important to always be going through something. I like the fact that they will have to figure out how to share a bedroom. Figure out how to share your closet. Figure out how to share your space. If that’s the worst thing about your life, that you have to share a bedroom with your sister, you’re going to be OK.”
