Home / Shop Here’s how you can recreate Chrissy Teigen’s homeschool room You can even find some things on Amazon! By Motherly Editors August 26, 2020 Rectangle If you’re looking into homeschooling you are hardly alone, mama. More and more parents are considering homeschooling for the 2020-2021 school year, and Chrissy Teigen is one of them. Last September Teigen and her husband John Legend sent their oldest, daughter Luna, to her second year of preschool but Teigen’s new homeschool set up suggests Luna’s staying home this year. Teigen gave the world a tour of her homeschool room on social media and we have to say, we love it, and we love that so many of the items she’s using are actually affordable. Luna, now 4, is lucky to have a mama who once dreamed of being a teacher and a little brother who can be her classmate this year. They even have their own cubbies! Here are some of the items we spotted in Teigen’s homeschool room and how you can recreate it: Play kitchen Chrissy’s play kitchen seems to be a older set from Guidecraft which is no longer available, but this adorable alternative from Janod will have your children playing independently for hours. $152 Buy Now Play tableware set Every kitchen needs a set of plates to serve pretend food. This set from Plan Toys in neutral wood goes so well with the play kitchen above and doesn’t pop out clashing with your own decor. $35 Buy Now Organizing cubes We spotted this hedgehog and a peacock in Crissy’s playroom. They are ideal for hiding away clutter or keeping small items organized and out of the way. You can even use them to neatly stash bibs, aprons, or changes of clothes! $16.99 Buy Now Baskets everywhere! We see so many baskets like this one around the playroom, some showing loose toys. Like the animal cubes, these are ideal to hide clutter and keep the room neat and organized. $65 Buy Now Wooden toy drum There’s a music corner (because of course there is) and this is exactly the same drum they have for their children. It’s made from wood and perfect for both children and adults to play with. $19.97 Buy Now Mini guitar There’s also a Loog guitar in the music corner, which in case you don’t know, is hands down the best learning guitar for kids. Its design is not only approved by educators but also has won several awards. $129 Buy Now A natural wooden block set You can se A TON of wooden blocks in the room, that’s because they are awesome for children to do some open-ended playing and expand their imagination by creating whatever they feel like. You can buy several sets of these to have enough for everyone to play with at the same time. $30 Buy Now Costumes for everyone Who said costumes were reserved only for Halloween? Teigen’s kids have a little rack with a wide selection of them to play dress. up, which is yet another great way for children to expand their imagination. These ones from Hijinks are not only adorable but made to last, ideal for pretend playing all year long. $74 Buy Now A doctor set If you look closely in one of the baskets there’s a doctor’s set. This one from Plan Toys is made from wood and planet-friendly rubber. It encourages empathetic imaginative play (and might even reduce your child’s anxiety about going to the doctor). $30 Buy Now A fun backpack Just because kids are not actually going to school it doesn’t mean they can’t play pretend and put assignments or drawings into their own backpack. This one from 7AM Enfant comes in fun colors and has playful wings. $45 Buy Now A set of table and chairs Chrissy’s playroom has a set of wooden neutral table and chairs. This set is perfect for little kids to sit and play, draw, build towers or eat a snack. $250 Buy Now A fluffy ostrich Sitting above all the colorful craft paper, Chrissy has this cute and fluffy ostrich.
