Top girl names of 2020 When it comes to baby names, Americans really love Liam and Olivia. For the second year in a row, they’re the most popular baby names in America. That’s according to a new report from the Social Security Administration on the most popular baby names used in 2020. Liam has reigned since 2017, when it took over the top spot from Noah. Noah now sits at second on the list. Olivia has been the most-used girl name since 2019, when it ousted Emma from the top of the list. New in 2020: Henry and Alexander entered the top 10, displacing Mason and Ethan. Henry hasn’t been in the top ten for boys names in over a century. The report also revealed the top fastest-rising names last year. Zyair was the fastest-growing name for boys. Avayah topped the list for girls.
