Home / Parenting How 8 celeb mamas are adjusting to pandemic parenting From getting kiddos used to masks to shifting back-to-school plans, to accepting a pregnancy experience that is so different from what they'd envisioned. By Anna Weih July 30, 2020 Rectangle With the fifth month of COVID-19 coming to a close, you may start to wonder how everyone else is getting through the long months of this pandemic. Although celebs seem like they’re still living their glamorous lives, they are definitely having to adjust to the new norm, too. Everyone is making changes these days. From getting kiddos used to masks to shifting back-to-school plans , to accepting a pregnancy experience that is so different from what they’d envisioned, celebrity parents are dealing with pandemic parenting problems just like the rest of us. Here are some celebs who aren’t afraid to share their pandemic adjustments on social media: Ciara On Instagram, Ciara’s partner, Russell Wilson, recently shared a beautiful post about his then-pregnant wife and the current situation (just before they welcomed their new baby boy). Wilson shared, “You Radiate. Even in the midst of the darkest days of COVID & the world… You Shine. God’s Light glistens off of you. Although this pregnancy experience has had so many restrictions due to the circumstances of the world, it has been one of the greatest blessings loving and living life with you. You Are My QUEEN.” Like many other pregnant mamas, Ciara and Russell have dealt with the obstacles of a pregnancy during quarantine . Ciara recently gave birth to a healthy son, Win. Chrissy Teigen + John Legend The power couple recently posed with their daughter, Luna, and three puppies outside. Everyone was sporting face masks, of course! Teigen is vocal on her social platforms about the importance of wearing a mask in public. Pink At Pink’s house, her daughter Willow is mixing health and safety with arts and crafts by making her own masks. “She’s pretty proud of herself for making something from scratch from an old billy idol t shirt I gave her, for taking her health into her own hands.” Pink captioned a pic of the 9-year-old’s handy work. Hilary Duff Hilary Duff’s 1-year-old daughter Banks looks adorable in her face mask, and her big brother Luca is looking forward to going back to school this fall, but Duff doesn’t yet know if that’ll be in person or at home. “We’re just waiting to see what happens,” Duff recently told People. “For his emotional well-being, I think it would be great if he could go back to school, but also it depends on what that looks like.” “If it’s just strictly learning and no social interaction … I guess I would let him make the choice,” she explains. “If he was going and it was super sterile and it wasn’t benefiting him [in a social way], I would be up for remote learning again.” Catherine Giudici The former bachelor fan-favorite posted a photo with her and her son wearing masks . Giudici sported a mask with the slogan “Do Not Touch,” and captioned the photo: “Masks required. Shirts optional.” Vanessa Lachey Contact sports are a no-go in the era of coronavirus, but Nick and Vanessa Lachey are happy that their daughter Brooklyn is able to get back to some of her favorite individual activities, like her horseback riding lessons (thanks to her mask and social distancing). Porsha Williams Porsha Williams, Real Housewives star, took to Instagram to share the most adorable picture of her daughter wearing a FendiBaby face mask. She added in her post that her daughter is great at keeping her mask on. Reese Witherspoon The actress posted a photo of herself wearing a mask and shared her thoughts on the situation. The mom of three shared, “Wearing a mask is not a political statement. It means you care about other people’s health and safety. Be KIND, wear a mask!” A week later, Witherspoon posted a meme on her account referring to her role in Legally Blonde that said, “You wear a mask in public? What, like it’s hard?” The meme showed a photoshop picture of a mask on Witherspoon. Bottom line: Mamas, this quarantine is HARD. The months seem like years, and some days it feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone in the world is going through similar obstacles and hardships—even the celebs we admire and love. But this is all temporary. Hang on, mama! Better days are ahead.
