Yes, you can rent the super pricey SNOO
Words like "amazing," "magical" and "life-saver" are common in online reviews and celebrities love it, but at $1,595.00 the SNOO's purchase price puts it out of reach for most parents.

By now, you’ve likely heard about the Snoo. Arguably the most hyped baby item in recent years, The SNOO is Dr. Harvey Karp’s incredible smart infant sleeper that uses white noise and motion to soothe newborn babies.
Words like “amazing,” “magical” and “life-saver” often crop up in online reviews and (of course) celebrities love it, but at $1,595.00 the SNOO’s purchase price puts it out of reach for most parents.
But! You don’t have to buy a Snoo to experience the magic. In fact, a Snoo rental gets you all the benefits without dropping a mortgage payment. Through the Snoo rental program, anyone can rent a SNOO for $149 per month!
If Karp’s book, The Happiest Baby on the Block, was a game-changer for sleep-deprived parents, the SNOO is a whole new sport. The smart sleeper is built on years of MIT research which turned Karp’s vast amount of baby sleep knowledge into a robotic night nurse. Parents swear by the high-tech bassinet which responds to a baby’s cries while also keeping them safely swaddled on their back. For the first six months (or until baby can push up on their hands and knees) it can be a revolutionary option for baby’s sleep. (And parents’ sleep too!)
How does the Snoo work? The Snoo gently rocks your baby while playing white noise. If your baby cries or stirs, the bassinet responds by intensifying the rocking and noise one level to help soothe them, with five progressive levels total. However, if your baby needs you because they are hungry, wet or had enough sleep for that rest period, the SNOO will send a push notification to your phone to alert you that your baby needs your attention. Then it will shut down—it won’t continue to rock them if it’s clear they need more than rocking.
Now any parent can get a SNOO for a few months and be better rested no matter where they work, and your friends and family can even pitch in.
How can you rent a Snoo?
Happiest Baby makes it easy. You’re charged monthly and can cancel at any time–a great option if you want to test it out before plunking down serious cash. Through the Snoo rental program, you can rent a unit for $149 per month, with the inclusion of a one-time cleaning and reconditioning fee of $89.50 the first month. There’s also a refundable deposit of $99 which will be returned after your final month of use.
You’ll be charged month by month until it’s returned with a one month minimum. Additionally, if you expect to use it until your little one outgrows it, you can opt for the Newborn Special package instead. You’ll have to sign up for a two-month minimum at $149 each, but secure months five and six for just $30 each.
While a $1,595.00 SNOO may go unpurchased on a baby registry, you can add a Snoo rental instead. Friends and family may be more inclined to buy you a (much more economical) month of SNOO rental.
How is a Snoo rental cleaned?
Don’t worry, the units are meticulously cleaned and sanitized via a 5-step process with “baby-safe, hospital-approved products” between families. Before they’re rented again they’re fully tested, tuned and certified for safety.
So if you’ve ever wanted a SNOO but just couldn’t justify the price tag, now’s your chance to have the Instagrammable bassinet celebrities (and sleepy babies) love. And whether you own it or not, there’s no denying the Snoo is totally worth the cost.
