Home / Entertainment / What To Watch Second trailer for ‘Harry & Meghan’ teases the ‘full truth’ behind the royal family split Netflix/YouTube "No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth." By Cassandra Stone Updated December 5, 2022 Netflix/YouTube Rectangle An updated trailer for the highly anticipated “Harry & Meghan” docuseries is here, less than a week after Netflix dropped the first teaser. In under two minutes, the Netflix trailer for the new “Harry & Meghan” docuseries offers us several never-before-seen images of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (that baby bump!) during private, intimate moments of their lives and shows us that the couple shan’t be holding back when it comes to telling their story. Here’s the updated trailer: “No one knows the full truth,” Prince Harry says in the new trailer. “We know the full truth.” The docuseries is set to be released in six episodes, combined in two “volumes”—the first premieres this Thursday, Dec. 8, and the rest on Dec. 15. Netflix calls it “an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series” that allows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to share their side of the story about their relationship and eventual exit from the royal family. “There’s a hierarchy of the family,” says Harry. “There’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.” From the initial trailer, dropped last week, it looks as though we’re going to get an authentic look at the lives of the couple, specifically after they retreated into a more private life after working as senior members of the royal family. As the trailer plays, we get to see several sweet photos of the couple, who are, to anyone with eyeballs, undeniably and massively in love with one another. We also get our first glimpse at what appears to be Meghan’s baby bump with the couple’s daughter, Lilli, who was conceived and born after her parents moved to California. Meghan’s pregnancy with Archie, the couple’s first child, was very public compared to that of her pregnancy with Lillibet. Netflix In the trailer, director Liz Garbus is heard asking, “Why did you want to make this documentary?” to which Harry responds “No one knows what’s happening behind closed doors.” Related: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry juggling the absolute chaos of two toddlers in the morning = all of us “I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” he continues. Netflix At the end of the trailer, we see the couple presumably answering tough questions as Meghan grows emotional. The camera cuts to her at a different point during the interview, where she says: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” Netflix Earlier this fall, Meghan opened up about the docuseries in a story for “Variety.” Related: Meghan Markle’s quotes about motherhood are especially sweet now that she’s a brand new mama of two “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story—a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired,—even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it,” Meghan said of working with Garbus. “But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting our story to someone else, and that means it will go through their lens.” The first episode of the docuseries will premiere Thursday, Dec. 8.
