Finding a show that you love just as much as your toddler is a one-in-a-million find. But the Heelers are that for so many families around the world.

The beloved Australian show, “Bluey” has captured hearts around the world. With refreshing takes on parenthood, it’s no wonder that there are so many popular “Bluey” episodes. But, did you know that there are also quite a few banned episodes?

Since it’s originally an Australian show, there’s bound to be local references that an American audience just wouldn’t get. But, we’re not just missing out on inside jokes and Aussie references. One of the biggest reasons why “Bluey” is censored is because American audience standards and practices are different.

TikToker @world.shaker posts a lot about the Heelers. He’s compiled a list of changes that Disney+ made in season 3.

As he explains, some episodes feature altered scenes. In one episode, Bandit is shown getting hit in a “sensitive spot” but in the Disney+ version that scene is cut. In another scene, Bandit has a conversation about getting a vasectomy but that’s gone too.

Then, there are the episodes that Disney just outright said no to airing. One of the banned episodes features a storyline around flatulence. That’s right, fart jokes! The episode, titled “Family Meeting” shows a silent, smelly something pass under Bluey’s nose. Another controversial episode comes from season 2. In it, Bandit simulates what it’s like to give birth—Bingo slides out of a carrier strapped to his chest.

“Bluey” is not like any other show. It offers just as much to parents as it does to kids. The storylines feature normal, everyday issues that families have. And part of what makes it so relatable and beloved is how they approach different topics. The Heelers have something about them that feels genuine and automatically draws you in, regardless of age. Some episodes are more subtle than others in how they tackle difficult topics but it seems like they have a particularly special ability to shine a light on parenthood and all of its ups and downs.

Fans of the beloved Heelers can do some internet sleuthing and find the original episodes (yes, they’re all over TikTok).
