“It went on for about 10 minutes and she was satisfied enough with her progress to go back to sleep.”
A Phoenix mom overheard noises coming from her baby’s room one night that left her in tears of laughter.
In the early hours of the morning, Dara, 36, checked the baby monitor—and could not cope with what she heard next: her baby practicing fake sneezes.

The mom, who goes by @bigmamadfromnyc on Instagram, shared the footage of her nine-month-old starting with a cute and soft, “Achoo! Achoo!” before building up to a louder, more dramatic version.
The text overlay on the video reads: “POV: You decided 3 AM was the perfect time to practice fake sneezes.”
Dara, who asked for her last name not to be published, was left “crying” with laughter when her daughter started getting louder and louder. She told Newsweek how it all started.
“One of the first things that made our daughter giggle when she was a couple months old were fake sneezes,” she said. Dara and her husband, Nick, also 36, continued to do them in order to make their daughter laugh.

“As everyone knows, babies don’t sleep when they learn new skills—and she had chosen 3 a.m. that night to perfect this one,” Dara said.
She and her husband woke up to the unusual sounds on the baby monitor and couldn’t help but laugh. “It went on for about 10 minutes and she was satisfied enough with her progress to go back to sleep,” she told Newsweek.
The clip went viral after Dara posted it on February 7, amassing 6.6 million views and over 500,000 likes.
Instagram users were quick to share their reactions, with many parents commenting about their own babies’ quirky habits.
