Home / News Over 500,000 Dr. Brown’s lovey pacifier + teether holders recalled What you need to know, mama. By Heather Marcoux March 16, 2018 Rectangle Moms across the country are throwing out their babies’ beloved loveys, not because they want to, but because the stuffed animals are being recalled due to a potential choking hazard. The line of plush toys marketed as Dr. Brown’s Lovey Pacifier & Teether Holders come with a silicone pacifier which can be secured to the toy by an attached ribbon and snap. Other pacifier or teething toys can also be attached. “The ribbons that attach the plush toy to the teether or pacifier can fray and/or unravel after repeated use and create a potential choking hazard,” the company warns in a statement posted to social media, noting that the silicone pacifiers sold with the loveys are not impacted by the recall. For more than 20 years, Dr. Brownâs has developed products that promote good health for baby â and we take that job very seriously. â â Thatâs why weâre voluntarily recalling all Dr. Brownâs Lovey pacifier & teether holders sold between August 2015 and March 2018. The ribbons that attach the plush toy to the teether or pacifier can fray and/or unravel after repeated use and create a potential choking hazard. The pacifiers included with the holder are not subject to this recall. â â We are committed to making this right, and encourage all consumers affected by the recall to first visit our website (click link in bio) for more details and to determine if their product is included in the recall.â â https://www.drbrownsbaby.com/recall-lovey/ â â https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2018/handi-craft-recalls-dr-browns-lovey-pacifier-teether-holders-due-to-choking-hazardâ â www.healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall-alert-raâ¦/â¦/66172r-eng.phpâ â â Then, if affected, call us at 1-833-224-7674 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.
