Home / News / Celebrity News Chip Gaines wants more kids with Joanna: ‘I think we have to have another one’ Crew might not be the baby of the family after all. By Heather Marcoux November 1, 2018 Rectangle Chip and Joanna Gaines’ youngest son Crew may not be the youngest Gaines for long. Speaking to People , Chip explained that he’s worried about the age gap between their older kids (13-year-old Drake, 11-year-old Ella, 9-year-old Duke, and 8-year-old Emmie) means Crew’s experience will be closer to that of an only child. “I think we have to have another one because I’m particular about the only child thing. Crew needs a sister to manage this whole thing out,” Chip told People. “Don’t be surprised if No. 6 is in the cards!” Chip seems keen to add another baby to the household, but Joanna says that being pregnant with Crew at 40 wasn’t quite as easy as her previous pregnancies. “I have always really enjoyed being pregnant—I tend to feel my best during those nine months. This time I felt a little more worn out than usual,” she wrote in a recent issue of their magazine, Magnolia Journal. That doesn’t mean she’s ruling out Chip’s suggestion though. In a previous interview with People she said, “I joke with my friends that I’m going to be that 45-year-old who’s pregnant.” Joanna has also said that she and Chip don’t like to plan too far in advance (and that Crew was a big of a surprise) so they may approach this decision the same way they did Crew’s arrival: By recognizing that sometimes life gives you exactly what you need in that moment. “That’s what I love about life,” Joanna tells People . “It’s these surprises, and at first you sit there and go, ‘How does that fit?’ And now that it’s all happened I can’t imagine life any other way. I’ve never been so happy.” You might also like: Chip Gaines shows off the cutest photo of baby Crew A look inside Joanna Gaines’ nursery Joanna Gaines captured the perfect photo of father-son bonding The latest News Viral TikTok calls out the ‘leisure gap’—why moms can’t just relax Parenting Top questions parents Googled in 2024—the answers may surprise you News Doctors reveal the #1 thing they’d never let their kids do—it’s eye-opening News Exhausted mom’s baby cam moment goes viral for perfectly summing up new parent fatigue
