Tia Mowry welcomed her second child, a daughter, in May, and while she’s been very open about her postpartum experience, she has not announced her daughter’s name publicly—until now.

On Friday Mowry broke the big news on Instagram. Her little girl’s name is Cairo Tiahna Hardrict, and it sounds just perfect to us. ?

“It basically means ‘victorious’,” the cookbook author explained in a video posted to her Facebook page.

She goes on to explain that her husband, actor Cory Hardrict, had strong feelings about which letters his baby girl’s name should include.

“My husband was in the air, flying. He always feels like he’s closer to his mother when he’s up in the air. He said when he was flying, he saw the letters A, I, R, in the sky. He said he wanted the baby’s name to have those letters. Tiahna is spelled T-I-A-H-N-A so it has Tia in there. Tiahna actually means follower of Christ. Also, Tiahna is one of the first African princesses so she’s our little princess here!”

Mowry and Hardrict already have a 7-year-old son, Cree, who Mowry says is a great big brother. Although he took some time to process the idea that the baby that was inside his mom was now out in the world, he understands how birth and babies work now. He recently brought his mom to tears when he climbed into bed with her and said “Mommy, I love my sister.”

And the world does too. Mowry’s Instagram comments have blown up with followers commenting on how beautiful Cairo is, and noting how unique the name is. Neither “Cree” nor “Cairo” have appeared in the top 1000 baby names in America since 2000, according to the Social Security Administration—but we bet they will start appearing now.

Although Cairo has a strong pop culture association as a baby name, it’s really only due to one instance where it’s not even technically the first name. Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend Tyga shares his young son King Cairo with Rob Kardashian’s ex Blac Chyna, but beyond that, it’s really known more as the capital of Egypt than as a baby name.

Mowry’s sweet baby girl just might change that.
