Seven months after welcoming son Rio, the Dancing With the Stars pros shared the moment that Murgatroyd told Chmerkovskiy they needed to buy a bigger house, with Murgatroyd revealing that she was “so nervous” to tell her husband the big news. I just gave birth!” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Peta Murgatroyd (@petamurgatroyd) She starts by telling him she has been “so nauseous” and “wanted to vomit the entire day,” but she took a test and it’s “not COVID.” She then chomps on an enormous pickle, but he doesn’t seem to pick up on the not-so-subtle hints she’s throwing his way. Then, she suggests that the family needs to move because they “really need an extra bedroom,” as she’s shaking two full bottles of formula. It’s then that Chmerkovskiy is fully confused. In fact, it’s not until she holds up all three positive pregnancy tests that he picks up what she’s throwing down. “Babe, what? Stop. You’re pregnant?” he asks, equal parts shocked and disoriented. “Yes, I’m pregnant,” she finally reveals, which causes Chmerkovskiy to tear up. “Babe, we’re in trouble,” she says. This was very unexpected at (4 months postpartum with Rio) but we are sooooo happy and so ready to be a family of 5 soon!” “Surprising @maksimc on this FaceTime with my two friends secretly filming from different angles made it all the more hilarious,” she continued. “It took one hour for me to get the courage to call him and when he wasn’t catching on we all couldn’t stop laughing in the kitchen. I had the ‘I’m so sick story’ the pickle and 2 bottles HAHA! Oh Maks.” “After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF we’re beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us. We’re just so happy that we can finally tell you guys the good news.” Back in 2022, before welcoming baby Rio, the couple shared that they’d experienced their third miscarriage, and had also undergone an unsuccessful IVF treatment. And now, they have another rainbow baby on the way, who will join big brothers Rio and Shai, 7. We’re wishing Murgatroyd nothing but good health and good vibes for a smooth, gentle pregnancy and safe delivery. (And of course, a bigger house too!)
