By Heather Marcoux April 3, 2019 Rectangle Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are expecting their fourth baby—a boy—and Kim is already thinking of what to call the newest member of her family. Kim and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and got to talking about baby names. When asked if she has one picked out, Kim explained that she has a name she wants to use, but it might not flow with the baby’s siblings’ names. “I was truthfully thinking about naming him Rob, [after] my brother, Rob,” she explained, “But then it’s like North, Saint, Chicago, Rob. It doesn’t really go, but I really was feeling that or like Robert, and my brother approved it.” Rob is not the only family member who will be weighing in on baby West’s name. The sisters revealed that they all ask the family for opinions before settling on a baby name. “I definitely take a family survey but it’s usually after the baby is born,” Kim explained. “I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel like it really connects with the baby.” Kourtney recalled that after Reign was born she tested out a few names, and even called him Preston for a full 24 hours, but it was Reign that stuck. If Kim does name baby no. 4 after Rob it won’t be the first time a family name has been passed down. Rob is of course named after his late father and Khloe’s daughter True (can you believe she’s almost a year old now?) also has a family name, according to grandma Kris Jenner. “My Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!” Jenner told fans on Instagram. Kim still has a few months to decide if baby West will be named after his Uncle, or have a more eclectic name like his siblings. Rob West does have a nice ring to it though and the name Robert isn’t super popular these days. According to the Social Security Administration, it was in the top 10 back in the 1980s but has dropped way down to 65 in the popularity rankings. Only 5,507 babies were named Robert in 2017.
