By Christina Marfice December 18, 2023 Katie Couric/Instagram Rectangle Katie Couric has some big news: She’s going to be a grandma! The veteran journalist has apparently been keeping this secret for a while, but finally got to share the update with her fans via an adorable video she posted to Instagram that shows the moment her daughters told her. Couric first learned the news that her 32-year-old daughter Ellie Monahan is expected right before she and her daughters were set to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour earlier this year. Before heading to the concert, the trio took part in one of the tour’s most beloved traditions: trading friendship bracelets. And that’s how Ellie and Couric’s other daughter, Carrie, let their mom know the big secret. In the caption, Couric wrote, “Been dying to tell you. This is what happens when you go to a @taylorswift concert last summer and forget your friendship bracelet and your daughters say, ‘Don’t worry, we made one for you!'” Back in August, Couric posted about attending the concert with her daughters, including a sweet photo of the three of them. She managed to hide the big news well, giving no indication that she was keeping a big secret. We felt so lucky to experience this together.” The latest News Tokyo announces free daycare—but will it solve the birthrate crisis?
