Baby, baby, baby… congratulations are officially in order for Justin and Hailey Bieber, because the couple have welcomed their first child. Justin shared the news with fans on Instagram over the weekend, revealing their son’s name and sharing the most precious photo of their new little love.

“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” the singer captioned the sweet shot, which features Jack Blues’ tiny little foot being held by mom’s flawlessly manicured fingers. Though the couple didn’t reveal exactly when he was born, a source told PEOPLE that both mom and baby are “doing well” at home.

“They’re both overjoyed,” the source shared of Hailey and Justin. “The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well. Hailey’s doing well, too.”

It seems like Justin is equally as delighted by the arrival of his baby boy. “The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for,” the source added. “The day they found out that Hailey was pregnant was the best ever for Justin. He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them. Justin’s already a great dad,” they said.

The couple had been open about wanting a big family for years, ever since they got married in September 2018. Shortly after their nuptials, Hailey told Vogue Arabia that it wasn’t on her immediate radar, but that a baby Bieber would eventually happen. “I love kids and I can’t wait to have my own,” she told the magazine. “I would say that now, that’s a closer reality, but definitely not anytime soon.”

In a December 2020 appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Justin expressed his desire for “as many [babies] as Hailey is wishing to push out,” adding, “I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few.”

Hailey has also expressed concerns about starting a family under the intense scrutiny of the public eye—an understandable concern given the strong attention the couple faces on social media. “I literally cry about this all the time,” she told The Sunday Times in May 2023. “I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”

Of keeping her pregnancy a secret for so long, Hailey told W Magazine in July that she “didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly.”

“I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good,” she added. “I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

Here’s hoping that fans respect the family’s privacy and safety, and that mom, dad, and baby are all doing well in these first days and weeks together.
