During the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night, Jennifer Lopez accepted the Icon Award for her decades of work as an esteemed triple threat. What made the moment even more special was when the camera cut to Ben Affleck and two of their children as they proudly looked on.

While it’s a given that most parents are always proud of their kids, watching kids show their pride for their parents is very much its own special thing. Ben was sitting in the audience with his 10-year-old son Samuel and Lopez’s 14-year-old child Emme. It’s their first public event as a blended family (outside of paparazzi photos) and it’s adorable.

“I appreciate this so much, so very, very much,” Lopez said as she accepted her award. “I wish I could tell you that awards were the most important to me, but that’s not true. And don’t think that I don’t appreciate the shiny, sparkly things, because I do! I cannot lie, everybody knows that I do. But this isn’t why I do this. It’s not what matters most to me. I really do it for you guys.”

The cheering crowd interrupted her speech many times, because, let’s be real—who doesn’t adore Jennifer Lopez?! (And if you’re a millennial parent, you also secretly adore Bennifer because our generation loves nostalgia more than anything.)

The Affleck and Lopez-Muñiz children have been blending together for several months now, having gone to Disney World as one big family and they also spent Christmas together. In addition to Samuel, Ben also shares daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner (another Jennifer we absolutely adore). Lopez also has a son—Emme’s twin brother, Max.

Jennifer Lopez emphasized her gratitude for her fans during her acceptance speech, thanking them for giving her the opportunity to always do what she loves and to follow her dreams.

“That’s a gift that you give me and I just want to say thank you for that,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who comes to a show, streams a song, sees a movie, follows me. You guys are the ones who give me the opportunity every day to live a life I couldn’t even imagine would come true when I was a little girl growing up in the Bronx.”

In a Valentine’s Day interview with PEOPLE last month, Jennifer Lopez talked about her relationship with Ben Affleck and what it’s like rekindling things after all these years.

“I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him,” she said. “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.”
