In a post shared to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, April 21, Duff asked fans and followers to chill with the messages about her expected delivery date. “Hi friends – This is meant in the kindest tone (I promise) I am no longer responding to texts or [dms] about ‘when baby is coming!'” she wrote. “I know everyone is checking in with love and humor, however, trust me nobody wants it more than me!!!!! Babies come when they are ready. I am trying my best to be patient! The days are long and uncomfortable. Promise I will let you know.” Of course, it’s certainly out of pocket for people to ask these questions of strangers, but it definitely makes sense if the 36-year-old is equally sick of loved ones and acquaintances asking, too. Especially in those final weeks of pregnancy, the last thing anyone wants is to be fielding questions about the status of their womb. As she told Shape in June 2023: “I love my loud household with mayhem and the craziness and all the love and all the dirt. I love [parenting] with my husband. I love feeling like hugs and cuddles can make everything better. I love the pressure of being like, ‘How the f*ck are we going to make it through this day?’ And making it through the day.” Related: Hilary Duff announces pregnancy with baby #4 in a very cute, very Christmas-y way Here’s hoping that the final stretch of her pregnancy is smooth and gentle, and that she has a safe delivery… oh, and that she can stop fielding incessant questions about her due date.
