Traveling with kids can go one of two ways. Either you get (extremely) lucky and your little one sleeps through the whole flight or it becomes a scene straight out “Snakes On a Plane,” with everyone screaming and crying. But really it’s you doing the crying and it’s your baby doing the screaming. Fun, right?

Of course, traveling with a little cutie might be easier depending on how you’re flying. Celebrity mama Heather Rae El Moussa recently posted a photo documenting her 3-month-old son’s first flight on their private plan and her followers responded with some pretty heated comments.

The “Selling Sunset” star, 35, posted a carousel of photos featuring her family. The star was clearly 3-month-old Tristan whom she shares with husband, Tarek El Moussa. Heather Rae had her baby boy earlier this year on January 31.

The new mom captioned her post: “Our little traveling boy!! Took Tristan on his first flight ever with Tay and Bray so they could be with us at The Flipping Summit and see us in our element 🤍 Tristan did such an incredible job and mom-tip, I breast fed him on the way up and then again on the way down to help with ear popping- It worked perfectly and then the rest of the flight he just giggled, played and looked around and was so happy & didn’t cry once… he loved the new environment 🫶🏻”

Her followers weren’t as happy as the proud new mom. Many commented that her post was “tone deaf” and not relatable to the average mom. After all, how many people can afford to travel by private plane?

“Not all Mamas have the luxury of a private plane. But good for you and your “tips” 🙄”

“Try breastfeeding on a commercial flight 🙄🙄🙄”

“Love that it went well but many moms can’t relate to your flight experience on a private jet…..”

One user claimed that her post was “tone deaf af” and that flying on a private jet is “straight privilege” and “zero percent relatable.”

Traveling with kids can be a huge source of stress on a mom. When your baby is still a baby and their little ears pop, they don’t understand anything of what’s going on except that they’re uncomfortable. Other celebrity moms have also posted about taking babies on a flight and how hard that can be. Not too long ago, Hilary Duff posted on social media about how her daughter MaeMae screamed for the majority of their flight to Hawaii.

But, hey, a win is a win, right? Other followers were quick to point out that the new mom can brag all she wants about her baby boy. Celebrity moms might not always be 100% relatable but we love to see support for moms either way.

“She is a new Mother. She has every right to brag on her new son. If you don’t have anything nice to say, buzz off.”

“I love that you are able to juggle the breastfeeding and working! Amazing to see it in action! Kudos to you mama! ❤️”
