By Arielle Tschinkel January 12, 2024 Gareth Cattermole/Getty Rectangle In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Halle Bailey’s boyfriend DDG called her a “professional mom” after the couple welcomed their first child together last month. In an Instagram post on Jan. 7, Bailey announced she’d given birth to a baby boy named Halo, and now the rapper is opening up about new parenthood, noting that he has a “newfound respect for women” after watching Bailey give birth. “Me and Halle had a baby together. I wouldn’t chose no other person in the world to have a child with. We learning. She’s a great mom. Like it’s crazy. She’s amazing,” he said. It seems fatherhood has given him a “newfound motivation” in life, with the 26-year-old seemingly enjoying all the milestones big and small of life with baby Halo. He also called the Little Mermaid star a “professional mom” and shared that the trio is “doing great.” As for baby Halo, it seems he’s handsome enough to be pictured on a Huggies box, but with a mama as gorgeous as Bailey, it’s totally unsurprising. He later called himself “insecure” over the actress’ kissing scenes on-screen in a rap song, noting later that it’s “just a song.” Related: Halle Bailey announces the birth of her first child with the sweetest photo and name reveal Bailey has gushed about DDG in multiple interviews, opening up about their relationship to British Vogue in April 2023. “Experiencing deep love for the first time in my life is something I feel has opened a whole new world for me creatively,” she told the outlet. “What it feels like to love someone other than your family, like somebody you may not have known two years ago but now they’re the center of your world. I like all of the scary feelings that come with that. I like the suspense, the not knowing what’s going to happen, and I feel like that’s what I’m supposed to be going through in womanhood.” Now it seems she’s loving being a mom equally as much, and she’s no doubt doing an amazing job navigating newborn life like a pro.
