There is another adorable member of the Teigen/Stephens family! Chrissy Teigen announced that she and her husband John Legend have quietly welcomed their fourth child, a son, via surrogate in an emotional Instagram post.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children,” Teigen wrote in her sweet post, revealing she began pursuing surrogacy in 2021 after losing her son, Jack, but before conceiving daughter Esti.

Teigen shares that after losing Jack in October 2020, she didn’t think she would be able to physically carry any more children—but she wanted to try. She revealed in February 2022 that she was undergoing in vitro fertilization once again.

“I just didn’t want to go on wondering my whole life if I should have tried again,” she writes. But in order to prepare for “the worst,” the couple was simultaneously working with a surrogacy agency.

The couple met Alexandra, the woman who would become their surrogate, in 2021. While the first embryo transfer with Alexandra did not survive, the couple was “overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy,” not long after Teigen reached the “safe” part of her own pregnancy with baby Esti, who was born just five months ago.

Their son Wren Alexander Stephens was born on Monday, June 19, Teigen writes.

“We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra,” she said. “And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you, Wren Alexander Stephens.”

Teigen and Legend are also the parents of their daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5, who were born in April 2016 and May 2018.

“Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.”
