Savenok/Getty The emotional posts and tributes for the beloved actor and comedian keep rolling in. By Cassandra Stone January 10, 2022 Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Rectangle Bob Saget, beloved actor and comedian, sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday. After performing a two-hour standup set in Orlando, Florida, Saget was found unresponsive in his hotel room the following day. Since the news of his untimely passing broke, tributes have been rolling in for the Full House star from everyone who knew him and loved him. Of those social media posts is one from Bob Saget’s daughter Aubrey, who shared her father’s last text message to her before he died. Her dad was on tour and had just performed on Saturday night at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida. In an Instagram post Saget shared after finishing his set, he thanked the appreciative audience for their time and gushed about how much fun he had performing that night. Aubrey’s text message was likely sent right before he went on stage. It reads, simply, “‘Thank you. Love u. Showtime!'” She shared a screenshot of the text in her Instagram Stories late Sunday evening. Though he was eveyrone’s favorite TV dad, Bob Saget was a real dad to two other daughters, Lara and Jennifer. He married his second wife, Kelly Rizzo, in 2018. His family released the following statement after the world learned the news of his death. “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.” Tributes and memories from his Full House cast members, fellow comedians, and colleagues from film and other TV projects have been pouring in since Sunday: “There aren’t enough words to express what I’m feeling today,” Jodie Sweetin wrote in an Instagram post dedicated to her former TV dad. “Nor are they big enough to capture even a slice of who he was. One thing I do know, is that we never missed a chance to tell each other, ‘I love you.’ Every time we talked, there were at least 3 or 4 exchanged at the end of a conversation, whether it was text, phone call or in person. And he usually had to have the last word, ‘I love you more.'” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jodie Sweetin (@jodiesweetin) Candace Cameron shared that she was heartbroken over the news in her own statement. I don’t know what to say 💔. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.— Candace Cameron Bure (@candacecbure) January 10, 2022 John Stamos shared his grief over the passing of one of his best friends, too. I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.— John Stamos (@JohnStamos) January 10, 2022 Dave Coulier took to Instagram to share a photo of his dear friend with the words, “I’ll never let go.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dave Coulier (@dcoulier) Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are not on social media, released a heartfelt statement as well. “Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.” Andrea Barber echoed her co-stars words about Saget, sharing that he had “the biggest heart out of anyone in Hollywood.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Andrea Barber (@andreabarber) It’s clear that not only was Bob Saget deeply loved by his peers and family, but he loved big and he loved hard himself. This loss really stings, particularly for millennials who grew up with the Tanners and America’s Funniest Home Videos and then appreciated his less-than-squeaky clean comedy as adults. Sending love and light to Bob Saget’s family and friends during this difficult time.
