Are there good moments? Of course! But those moments come at a price sometimes, and Amy Schumer knows the cost firsthand. In a new interview with PEOPLE, Schumer is getting real about what working motherhood is like, especially when she’s away from home on her comedy tour. She admits how much she misses her three-year-old son, Gene, whom she shares with her husband Chris Fischer. “I just want to be with him as much as I can,” Schumer says. “I’m very grateful to be able to work and have time for myself also. But it’s brutal. It hurts. I mean, like, there’s no way. It’s a painful thing.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by @amyschumer She currently has 65 tour dates lined up and she’s currently busy promoting the new season of “Inside Amy Schumer” after a six-year show hiatus, so she’ll be away from home a lot.
