It’s been eight years since The Hills went off the air, but on Monday, June 24 The Hills: New Beginnings will be hitting our TVs and PVRs.

The original cast has experienced a lot of life changes since the first show, not the least of which is parenthood. Fans are assuming parenting will likely be a major plot point for the returning reality TV veterans who are now in their 30s and making families.

While not all the cast members of the reboot are parents (or were even on the first show, like in Mischa Barton’s case) the core group of women from the first version of The Hills are all moms now.

They may not agree on everything on the upcoming season (it wouldn’t be a good reality show if they did) but they all agree that motherhood has been amazing and life-changing.

Heidi Pratt: The sleep sacrifices are worth it

“The most sleep I get is two hours — sometimes three,” Heidi Pratt (formerly Heidi Montag) told Paper after welcoming her new son Gunner with her Hills castmate-turned-husband, Spencer Pratt.

“I’m usually up every hour with Gunner, it’s really intense. Gunner’s given me a whole new strength that I didn’t know. I feel like I am stronger than I’ve ever been emotionally. At the end of the day, I’m his mom, and that’s my main priority.”

Gunner will likely be a seen on the upcoming series. He’s been accompanying his parents on the press tour and Spencer says it was initially hard for Heidi to be separated from Gunner during filming.

“She had not left Gunner even for five seconds for, like, almost a year to that point,” he told Us Weekly. “That was a major adjustment and process for her. To be honest, if it [wasn’t] for The Hills , I don’t know if she would have ever left Gunner’s side.”
