Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda are officially returning to television.

HBO Max just announced plans for a SATC revival with original stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

The new series is titled And Just Like That, a nod to the original show.

Fans got a small taste of what’s to come when the lead actresses shared a teaser video to their Instagram accounts.

The video cuts between a bustling New York City and a computer screen, with the typed phrases “And just like that…” and “The story continues…”. Carrie’s signature voiceover ends the clip.

The revival will follow Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda as they navigate life and relationships in their 50s.

“I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with the honesty, poignancy, humor and the beloved city that has always defined them,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max, in a statement.

What’s missing from the revival? Samantha, of course.

It doesn’t appear that Kim Cattrall will reprise her role as fan-favorite Samantha Jones.

“Happy to see you back but will miss Kim/Samantha,” one fan commented on SJP’s Instagram post.

“We will too,” Parker replied. “We loved her so.”

When another fan suggested recasting Jennifer Coolidge as Samantha, Parker replied, “We have some new stories to tell. We are excited.”

So it sounds like Samantha Jones may not have a place in the new revival. That makes sense since Cattrall has said she has no desire to return to the role.

With or without Samantha, fans are celebrating the return of SATC. The ten-episode, half-hour series is set to begin production this spring in New York.

In addition to their starring roles, Parker, Davis and Nixon will also executive produce the show, alongside Michael Patrick King.
