Home / Life Recall alert: OshKosh Baby B’gosh recalls quilted jackets Detached snaps can pose a choking hazard. By Heather Marcoux November 10, 2017 Rectangle If there’s a quilted OshKosh coat in your baby’s closet you’ll probably want to take it out of rotation. The company is recalling its Baby B’Gosh quilted jackets after four reports of snaps detaching. In one of those cases, a baby put the snap in her mouth. She didn’t choke, but the company wants to make sure the snaps don’t pose a choking hazard to any other kids. “Consumers who purchased the product are being asked to return the product directly to a Carter’s or OshKosh retail store in exchange for a full refund of the MSRP price in the form of a gift card,” the brand noted in a statement on its Facebook page. Approximately 38,000 units were sold in the United States and an additional 5,000 were sold in Canada. They were available between August 2017 and September 2017 at OshKosh, Bon-Ton, Kohl’s, Fred Meyer, Carter’s and other retailers. They jackets were either pink or grey, and the UPC and style numbers of the recalled coats can be found on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website. You can find the style and UPC numbers on the front of the care tag sewn into the coat. If you have one of these coats you can call OshKosh’s customer service line toll-free at 800-692-4674 or visit https://www.oshkoshrecall.com.
