By Heather Marcoux October 9, 2019 Rectangle When Former Wisconsin congressman Sean Duffy found out he and his wife, Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy, were about to become parents to a child with special needs he decided to resign from his job to support his wife and child. He resigned in September and his timing turned out to be perfect. On October 1 his child arrived a month ahead of schedule. Valentina StellaMaris Duffy has Down Syndrome and a heart condition that will require surgery in just a few months. “That extra chromosome certainly made her EXTRA cute. Life is wonderful!!” Campos-Duffy explained in a Facebook post. “She is the sweetest, most perfect thing we have ever seen. It’s a wonderful life!” Campos-Duffy wrote on Instagram. On Facebook, Campos-Duffy shared more: “She is doing great, though still in the NICU until she learns to eat on her own,” she wrote. “I’m home now, trying to recover from my first C-section (hats off to all the C-section moms out there—I had no idea!) and working hard with my breast pump to keep up with her growing appetite.” Valentina’s eight siblings are already in love, and Campos-Duffy says the experience has given one of her daughters a new goal. Valentina’s big sis now wants to be a NICU nurse when she grows up!
