By Deena Campbell April 28, 2020 Dead to Me poster Rectangle It’s official: Our Mother’s Day gift is coming a bit earlier this year. Netflix confirmed that Dead to Me will return on Friday, May 8 and we’re super thrilled. *Spoilers below!* Yes, Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are confirmed to be returning for season two (I mean, can you imagine the show without them?) and in the new season, Natalie Morales will have a recurring role as Michelle, a woman who forms a connection with Judy. If you remember, season one left us with Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini) standing over the dead body of Judy’s husband, Steve (James Marsden), with Jen possibly responsible for his death. Check out the trailer below + be sure to mark your calendars for 5/8: We aren’t exactly sure where the new season will take us, but we can guess we’re in for a ride! “It will be about the further exploration of this friendship, and relationship, and now very complicated dynamic, or even more complicated dynamic between these two women,” showrunner Liz Feldman explained to Entertainment Weekly. “But in the most basic way, the score has been evened. What I wanted to do was create a situation where they’re forced together, and they need each other now in some ways more than they did at the beginning of season one.” We can’t wait to binge!
