Not only can you not drink, but if you’re waiting to share the news of your pregnancy till your first trimester is over, you often have to lie about not drinking. There are only so many excuses a girl can come up with before bursting âIâm pregnant!â So for those evenings you find yourself on that same walk, I grant you 5 pregnancy lies to make all your own. 1. Tell them youâre doing a juice cleanse: Itâs all the rage these days, and theyâre probably doing one next week. Just make sure you eat before you meet them and know which juice company youâre fake representing. 2. Tell them youâre on antibiotics: Just please make sure to come up with why. A dear friend of mine started thinking that I had an STD because I couldnât give her a clear answer as to why I was taking meds. Can we say âewâ? 3. Tell them youâre cutting back on calories: When they ask you why? Lie again: âI wanna be skinnier, duh.â 4. Tell them youâre trying to get pregnant: Affirm them with something like: âDonât be an idiot. Iâd totally tell you if I was!â 5. Tell them you have to be on point for something work-related tomorrow: Theyâll respond with the usual: âGod, youâre such a workaholic.â And when those don’t work as excuses for not drinking while pregnant?
