Parents everywhere, listen up, because we’ve got the best news for you today. After the supersized “Bluey” season three finale left viewers of all ages absolutely reeling back in April, Disney has announced that the beloved animated series is making a mini return this fall. And while it’s not technically a full season, a crop of new Bluey minisodes will help fill the Bingo-sized hole in our hearts.

On October 7, seven new minisodes—each between one and three minutes in length—will drop on Disney+, rolling out to Disney Jr., Disney Channel, and Disney Jr. On Demand throughout that same week. The new collection of short episodes follows Bluey and Bingo on some exciting adventures, leaning into “playful interactions and games that further explore the characters and world of Bluey,” per a press release announcing the news.

Ahead of the new episodes, Disney has shared descriptions of what’s in store for Bluey fans.

  • “Tattoo Shop”: Dad visits a tattoo shop, hoping to toughen up his image with some skulls and snakes. But it seems his new ink isn’t quite what he hoped it would be.
  • “Phoney”: When the family wants to unwind with some relaxing music after a long day, Unicorse—Bluey’s high-energy hand puppet—has other plans in mind.
  • “Blocks”: Bluey and Bingo build a tower made of blocks, asking Nana to keep it from falling. Nana and Bob try to live in the block tower without knocking it down by accident.
  • “Government”: Dad tries an unconventional method to get his little ones to calm down, demanding the government do something about it. (Relatable, indeed!)
  • “Drums”: Mum takes Bingo to the music shop, where she discovers an electronic drum kit and some headphones.
  • “Browny Bear”: The family is irritated when someone keeps tapping people on the shoulder and then vanishing. Mum enlists the help of PI Browny Bear to investigate.
  • “Whirlpool”: The kids make a whirlpool in the paddling pool and hop on in.

Earlier this year after the episode “The Sign” aired, viewers were left wondering if our beloved “Bluey” had come to an end. A post from a crew member on Reddit soon went viral, suggesting the show was done.

“Hello! I’m one of the crew who worked on Bluey,” the post read. “I want to tell you that Bluey is finished. The final episodes were completed by the crew in 2021. At the time of writing, there has been no season 4 in production. Nothing has been greenlit and no one is working on it. This is not to say that the situation may change! However this is just what has been the case for the last 3 years.”

As if more minisodes wasn’t exciting enough, Disney noted that even more minisodes will air at a TBD date, which means we won’t have to wait long for another steady stream of Bluey eps. Is it October yet?!
