Jillayna Adamson

Jillayna (Jill-anna) Adamson has a background in psychology and anthropology and is a Clinical Mental Health Therapist interested in all things people and culture. She has worked with children, teens, moms and with immigrants and refugees. Jillayna engages her creative side with writing and photography and advocates for her passions including mental wellness and human rights and cross-cultural mental wellness. She has written for various outlets including The Huffington Post, Ottawa Citizen and Scary Mommy. She currently lives in Florida with her husband and two kids.

Finding beauty in the mundane moments of motherhood

His cereal bowl is on the counter with remnants of oats and milk. My French press is half full, the cream is still out. I have yet to get properly dressed, or attempt to begin the strange battle that is dressing my son.
